Celebrating Oak Bluffs Harbor Fest with Sidewalk Sam

On June 21, 2008, hundreds of families joined with Sidewalk Sam to create a walkway of beautiful artworks along the Oak Bluffs Dockside at the annual Harbor Fest.

Hosted by the Oak Bluffs Association and local area merchants, “Chalk One Up with Sidewalk Sam” invited Martha’s Vineyard residents and visitors to the island to create fanciful drawings to celebrate the summer solstice and the joy of a wonderful day!

“What a great community spirit everyone shared,” says Sidewalk Sam. “Gorgeous families, from as far away as Georgia, Florida, Colorado, Mexico and many European countries, really put their love of the Island into their drawings! It was a fabulous display of the creativity that is in us all.”
