ArtStreet's Common Speech is a program which takes place on Boston Common, Copley Square and City Hall Plaza. Common Speech creates a place for people to read aloud selections of inspiring poetry, speeches, novels, plays, etc.
Common Speech aims to:
1) entertain pedestrians
2) promote cultural literacy and
3) allow the intellectual and moral pronouncements of great leaders and spokespersons, past and present, to have a presence in daily life.
Sidewalk Sam/ArtStreet is always on the lookout for speakers and event organizers/managers to take part in these events.
